Jose Solano - A Biography

Jose Solano was born in Inglewood, CA. He was raised in Daly City which is located just south of San Francisco. At a very early age Jose's parents taught him the importance of god and family. Jose is very committed to his community church and native latin culture. Jose was a very athletic child. As a teenager he won many awards, including Jr. Olympics medal, and was voted MVP in soccer. In High School he was very althletic in cross-country track. He crushed two records for the sport. Jose is an avid Star Wars fan. After graduation from High School, he joined the Navy. He served on an amphibious assault ship during the Persian Gulf War. Jose settled back with his family after the war was over. He decided to pursue other things and earned his Associate of Arts Degree. Acting soon crossed his mind, and his family supported his decision. His father, later became his manager.

He had many odd jobs even working in retail at a local mall, when he got a call from an agent. Jose had been named YM magazines Man of the Year and he caught the eye of the producers of Baywatch. He went to the production offices auditioning for the role of Manny Guiterrez on the action show. It took three times of auditioning before he landed the role that would make him a household name. He became the first latin regular on the TV show.
